The NYLO Hotel
Looking for a way to celebrate Valentines Day? With all of this snow in the forecast for Texas, I know some plans have had to be pushed back. If you didn’t have plans in the first place, well I have a quick solution for you. The NYLO Hotel is the perfect place for a little Valentines getaway! They have 2 locations-one in Plano and one Dallas. Each with its own unique details that make that location special. I wanted to share my favorites from this particular weekend. Sometimes you just need a little getaway and the NYLO is the perfect place to relax and reboot.
At First Glance
Let me start by saying this boutique hotel is perfect for this time of quarantine. It was incredibly clean and the staff was so friendly from the moment we walked in. There’s nothing better than a friendly face when checking into a hotel. Everything was seamless and immediately I was impressed with the atmosphere, design, and feel of this hotel.
Straight to Work
From play to work, the Nylo takes care of you! If you didn’t know, I started a new part time job in marketing for a company called AD Media Group! I had a meeting with my boss and team almost immediately after arriving. The conference room served as the perfect space and had the technology and equipment that we needed to be successful. It could also serve as a space to work quietly if you needed a change of scenery.
If a conference room intimidates you, they have a lounge area where you can grab a drink or coffee and sit in a comfortable place while you work away at your to-do lists. If you’re hungry, they take care of that too! I enjoyed snacks from their lobby area, grabbed a cup of coffee, my laptop, and finished the rest of my work day before it was time to relax.
Snacks on the Go
Speaking of snacks, I was able to have a charcuterie board delivered to me at the Nylo, and yes I said delivered! If you haven’t heard of Boxed Bites and you live in the Dallas area you are missing out. Boxed Bites are “thoughtful, elevated, boxed delicacies delivered for all occasions”. It took 5 minutes to order and was delivered to me at the time I scheduled. When I received it, I couldn’t believe how much could fit into one box. From honey, to meats and cheeses, Boxed Bites DELIVERED. This could make a thoughtful gift, an easy grab and go item to bring to a wine night with girlfriends, or a snack for a date night with a special someone.
Not only did I have a charcuterie board delivered, but I always travel with my Safe and Fair Snacks. They are easy, healthy, and most importantly for me right now, Gluten Free. It was the perfect snack to share with coworkers and everyone on our team loved it. From popcorn to brownie mix, they have so much to offer. My favorite item they sell is the birthday cake granola! If you are looking to change up your snacks, Safe and Fair is your answer!
Rooms with Room
The hotel room was spacious and beautiful. What sets Nylo apart from other hotels, is their industrial and modern feel. The decor is beautiful and feels as if every room was designed specifically with a purpose. I had space to work in the sitting area, or could work comfortably from the bed while the TV was on. Everything had been cleaned and I felt completely safe in that space!
Dinner & Drinks By the Pool
If you haven’t noticed by now, I am a foodie at heart. Not only do I love food though, I enjoy a fun cocktail! After a full day of work, dinner and drinks in the restaurant and by the pool was the perfect way to end my stay. Their cocktails and beverages are usual drinks you see on a menu (like a Moscow Mule) but had an amazing twist to them. My favorite was the Coconut Margarita. A margarita with a hint of sweetness and coconut flavor, what can be bad about that?
The food was incredible and so fresh. I ordered the wings and salad and enjoyed a gorgeous night outside. I love a salad with tons of toppings and this one delivered.
The Nylo Hotel is the perfect environment to mix a little fun and work. I am all about the food and drinks so this place suites me very well! Book their hotel for a fun little Valentines Getaway and you won’t be disappointed.
